The clouds burst after our boat ride and the rain did not let up for the rest of the day. I traded in my shorts for another new pair of pants. (Hey, I tried!) What could we do? We had planned to go for another hike...but the rain wasn't the only thing holding us back from that activity. Our legs were still full of lactic acid.
We finally decided that a drive alongside the ocean would be well worth our time. After all, driving requires minimal leg movement and Ben enjoyed the stick shift mountain driving. The waves were ferocious! We briefly (very briefly) considered a quick run down to the ocean in our swimsuits, just to say we did. But that thought quickly passed as we reminded ourselves of our aching legs...and the cold! So we were boring. We just stopped to take pictures every once in awhile and film the roaring ocean.
Well, two can only drive in the rain for so long. So we returned to the DreamHouse for the remainder of the afternoon. Watching the rain from our window. Oh, so much rain. I suppose the one positive to the rain was it gave us an excuse to rest our aching legs.
