His argument has been, "fish will not smell bad if it is cooked properly...and by a good chef." So, after looking into those puppy dog brown eyes of his....
He succeeded.
Sunset Beach had a manual of restaurant recommendations..in the booklet was "Harbour House." You see, the book also had a description of the restaurant: "very romantic, waves crashing below." Of course you understand that this may have had some play in my decision to eat some fish with my husband...
So we ate there our first night out (this was prior to the aching legs). I chose to try the Swordfish (it came with mashed potatoes!)...and....it was Delicious! I cleaned my plate. And you must know, this does not happen often for this little lady. Furthermore, Ben was right. It didn't smell like fish at all. Plus the atmosphere was so very pleasant! Though we did not have a table near the windows, we could hear the waves crashing below.... and we dined amongst candlelight. Yes, romantic. For sure.
We had an unfortunate dining experience our second night...(the day of the aching legs onset). This second restaurant simply couldn't compare to Harbour House. So we determined it would be best to return to the deliciousness for our final night in the Cape. Hey, it was the least we could do for our aching legs!
On our drive to the restaurant that final night, we remembered that the restaurant was up a flight of stairs. That meant we would also have to climb down those stairs in order to leave. It was a sight to behold as we laughingly made our way up the stairs.... and then walked to our table... and to/from the restroom.... and finally down the stairs and to the car. I actually fell into a wall at one point. Quite hilarious! We were just hoping that nobody else in the restaurant would notice...
