Charlotte's Web

We began Charlotte's second Halloween by carving a pumpkin.  She had fun pulling out the goo from inside the pumpkin, and she even had fun watching mommy carve it.  But she was not a fan of the glowing Jack-o-lantern- even though it had 4 front teeth and a bow, just like her!  Poor little spider was frightened by that smiling pumpkin!

Fortunately she was okay as long as Mommy...and some candy were nearby.  

She is Charlotte the Spider from Charlotte's web.  I know, she is missing 4 spider legs...but I figure the tutu kind of creates the spider effect, right?  So what if people just thought she was a black princess.  

She was stinking cute carrying around her trick-or-treat bag.  Miss Independent.  She did very well at the Mall trick-or-treating...until we reached Godiva.  At which point she threw a fit.  So, we gave her some cheerios, calmed her down...and walked up to Godiva.  Just in time for them to have run out of those delectable chocolates.  Goodness, what's a Mama gotta do for some free chocolate!?  ;)

Aww, well, at least the little spider got to ride the carousel.

And then she got to visit both sets of grandparents...

And she finished up the night with that scary jack-o-lantern.  (See, she is crawling toward me and watching that pumpkin like, "Don't let it get me!")
